The Hunger Games: Official Illustrated Movie Companion
This illustrated guide takes reader through different stages of the transition from book to movie. Sharing interview from Suzanne Collins, Nina Jacobson (Producer), Gary Ross (Director) and several other members of the cast and crew, the reader gets insight into how the movie transformed from idea to film.
Filled with stunning images from concept art to set stills (I’m a fan of the costume section), this companion guide to the movie will be a fun read for any fan of the Hunger Games trilogy.
The Hunger Games Tribute Guide
I like to think of the Tribute Guide as a cheat sheet for anyone who has not yet read the Hunger Games but is interested in the movie. While fans of the books will enjoy the movie stills and commentary, anyone who has not read the books will get a little background into what the Hunger Games is all about. Though, I would strongly recommend reading the book first, this little guide will be a wonderful read for all.
The guide gives a little history about the games, walks through The Reaping and how it works, travels with the tributes on the train to the Capitol and then gives an illustrated look at all the tributes, districts and the training that they go through to the point leading up to the games.
I found it delightful and I think it will be a great experience for anyone who has interest in viewing the 74th Annual Hunger Games.

"Do you think I am an automaton? — a machine without feelings? and can bear to have my morsel of bread snatched from my lips, and my drop of living water dashed from my cup? Do you think, because I am poor, obscure, plain, and little, I am soulless and heartless? You think wrong! — I have as much soul as you — and full as much heart! And if God had gifted me with some beauty and much wealth, I should have made it as hard for you to leave me, as it is now for me to leave you. I am not talking to you now through the medium of custom, conventionalities, nor even of mortal flesh: it is my spirit that addresses your spirit; just as if both had passed through the grave, and we stood at God's feet, equal — as we are! (Jane to Mr. Rochester-Ch. 23)"— Charlotte Brontë
